Reuters has reported that a French court on Monday declared U.S. biotech giant Monsanto(MON.N) guilty of chemical poisoning of a French farmer, a judgment that could lend weight to other health claims against pesticides (meaning Monsanto). It’d be a shocker if such a verdict would be handed down in the United States. After the morning verdict, the share price of Monsanto dipped; and any US conservative justice (and a few liberal judges) would certainly take this possibility into consideration when ruling in a similar case in the United States.

By the way, about 20,000 farm workers die in third world nations every year from pesticide poisoning, much of which one can reasonably assume are products of Monsanto. So this verdict should have consequences worldwide, assuming, of course, that there are justices that cannot be bought. That apparently is the case in France. So US corporate conservatives (and some Democrats) naturally will invoke harsh criticism of France and verbally attack French fries.

The war of words are heating up in the Persian Gulf. A spokesperson for the US navy said the Iranians are preparing suicide boats to attack the US fleet. No doubt about it. The Iranians intend to defend themselves against a US attack.

Let’s face it. President Obama is going to facing an incompetent Republican candidate for the presidency. But he’s going to also be facing billions of dollars of Super Pac money that want Wall Street Mitt in office. The presidential battle is shaping up to be a battle between two candidates representing different factions of Wall Street.

The quickest way for Obama to win reelection is to become a war president in a presidential year. Iran is a nice target, and it’s being painted with sinister brush strokes by the American media.

Mitt Romney Equates Modern Conservatism to a Disease

Well, Mitt Romney has done it again. He’s basically called conservatives of the Republican Party a bunch of retards. This is amazing when you think about it. Mitt’s probably not a bad guy, if you’re one of his Wall Street backers. But a ton of the working class conservative folks aren’t happy with Mitt, and they’re not retarded in being against him. Those people may share something with die hard liberals. They may distrust and dislike Wall Street. And Mitt, like Obama, is Wall Street’s boy. Who wants to see a presidential election battle pitting two Wall Street drones against each other?

DOJ failed to issue key wiretap reports during Bush’s second term. It’s difficult to say why, or why congress didn’t demand it, although the report is required by law. Perhaps it’s because DOJ failed to get warrants. According to the corrupt corporate wing of the supreme court, the US government can send its agents to break into your home and steal your computer data. And you can’t do anything about it unless you can prove the thieves were agents of the US government. Since the Bush administration, and actually since and to a lesser degree the Clinton administration, the Constitution no longer matters. It’s just a worthless scrap of paper. The US police state isn’t just around the corner. It’s already here, although to a lesser degree than it is likely to become.
