The fastest growing food segment is organic. More and more people are buying organic foods. That’s because they’re healthier than the GMO garbage the major food companies are selling you.

Costco has been crowned the new king of organic groceries. The company’s sales of organic foods increased by a whopping $1 billion in just 6 months. It’s mind boggling. If that’s not enough, Costco is committed to continue the expansion of their organic offerings. Costco has been quietly beefing up its offerings of organic foods for years.

GMO foods have been linked to a number of health issues, such as tumors and allergies. They’ve also been linked with autism, obesity and a variety of cancers. So more people are making the choice to eat healthy, and Costco is leading the way.

The US Food and Drug Administration first approved allowing GMO’s into the US food chain back in the mid 1990s even though they’d been tested a whopping three months for safe human consumption. That is how corrupt your government was back then, and it’s even more corrupt nowadays.

In 2012, news that wasn’t published hardly at all included the fact that Costco’s CEO Craig Jelinek decided that redistributing income from his employees to his shareholders by cutting wages was not good for the employees or for the shareholders. Wall Street was pressuring him to do exactly that (Click here for the story from http://www.zdnet.com). This was in spite of the fact that Costco’s closing share price hovered slightly below $39 a share in March 2009 and had risen to over $90 a share in March 2012.

That higher wage strategy seems to have worked beautifully. Costco’s share price has been steadily rising, and it closed at $177 on March 2 2017. Wall Street was proven wrong–again.

The truth is simple. When you have a massive income redistribution from the 99 to the 1 percent via federal legislation, as in the last thirty-seven years, you have a government and an economy that are sick with massive corruption. Costco has opted out of that business model. Thirty-six years ago, the 1 percent took home about 8 percent of the nation’s income, now it’s over 30 percent and growing, and it’s been stolen from the rest of us. Thirty-six years ago, the 1 percent owned 7 percent of the nation’s wealth, now they own over 40 percent, and it’s growing at the expense of us all. However, when the latest stock market bubble bursts, and it will, much of that wealth will evaporate.

This is why the current economic expansion is long, but historically weak by virtually all measurements, despite a bigger gross domestic product, greater worker productivity and larger population than in years past. Demand should be robust compared to decades ago, but it instead remains comparatively lackluster. That is because the income of the 99 percent has been redistributed to the 1 percent, leaving the rest of us insufficient money to boost this economy in the manner of the past.

It’s time to put a little more balance in the economy by following the Costco model. The government has redistributed income from the 99 to the 1 percent via free trade treaties, privatization scams, corporate welfare and other means. It’s time for the government to move in the opposite direction on behalf of all of us, not just the rich.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) controversial approval of AquaBounty’s genetically modified (GMO) salmon has garnered further backlash from national grocery stores and restaurant chains.

Costco, the second largest retailer in the world with 487 stores and one of the largest retailers of salmon and seafood in the U.S., has made a firm commitment not to sell GMO salmon. Red Lobster has also declined to sell the GMO poison salmon.

Costco’s move to reject GMO salmon comes after vehement opposition from anti-GMO activists.

According to a statement from Friends of the Earth, Walmart and Publix are among the last remaining large retail grocers in the U.S. that have not yet rejected GMO salmon.

“The market is rejecting GMO salmon. Stores won’t sell it and people don’t want to eat it,” said Friends of the Earth Campaigner Dana Perls. “Now other retailers like Walmart and restaurants need to follow suit, and we need mandatory GMO labeling so that consumers know how to avoid GMO salmon.”

More than 60 grocery store chains representing more than 9,000 stores across the U.S. have made commitments to not sell GMO salmon, including Safeway, Kroger, Target, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Aldi and many others.

Why Costco Closes on Thanksgiving

Hilliary Clinton is likely to make a run for the Democratic Party presidential nomination in 2016. Polls show she is an overwhelming favorite to defeat such Democratic salwarts as current Vice President Joe Biden.

The Democratic Party currently represents corporate interests almost as much as the Republican Party. The only difference between the two parties is which sections of the top 0.05 income earners and corporations do they represent? Quite naturally, both parties happen to represent Wall Investment firms about equally. But for the most part, the battle between the parties is a battle between the parasites of the 1 percent, which is nearly always against and at the expense of the 99 percent. For example, Democrats represent Costco, while Republicans represent Walmart.

However, things are changing. By 2016, income and wealth will have continued to be redistributed from the 99 to the 1 percent via federal, state and local legislation. The corporate propaganda media, from Fox News to the New York Times, will attempt to limit debate on this crucial issue, as it always does. By 2016, the oncoming train wreck called the US economy may be completely off track, or at least, closer to it than it is now, and its already riding only on one rail. This suggests the issues of income and wealth redistribution will become an important topic, despite desperate attempts by the media to turn our attention away from it.

Hilliary Clinton was corrupted by and sold out to the 0.05 percent decades ago. She has a track record to prove it. So who could challenge her and win?

“Any candidate who challenged Clinton would need several key assets. The candidate would almost certainly have to be a woman, given Democrats’ desire to make history again. She would have to amass huge piles of money with relatively little effort. Above all, she would have to awaken in Democratic voters an almost evangelical passion. As it happens, there is precisely such a person. Her name is Elizabeth Warren.”

Check out the videos below in which Senator Warren questions US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geither. The second video is how she wondered at her very first Senate hearing why so few Wall Street banks are ever taken to court.

Costco is booming. Profits are up, employee compensation is up, and Costco’s shelves are filled with the future. Every time I shop at Costco, it seems that more and more organic stuff is sitting on the shelves and in the freezers: breads, jams, eggs, chicken, ground beef, and lots of other things.

It’s easy nowadays to hide genetically modified organisms (GMOs), (such as all soy products. Soy is an ingredient in ketchup, mustard and hundreds of other products). GMOs are loaded with  the Bt and Ht toxins, including those labeled “natural.” Shop anywhere and you’ll see this meaningless label. That’s also true at Costco, but it appears that Costco management has decided to go with the future of food, and that’s with safe healthy food called organic.

Many so-called organic stores sell food labeled natural, but which are also filled with GMO poison, such as Whole Foods and New Seasons markets. That’s because GMO ingredients cost less than real natural food, and so enhance the bottom line. In these times of massive amounts of income being redistributed from the 99 to the 1 percent by the government, many people can’t afford to pay higher prices for food. Organic foods cost a little more, but they don’t have the poisons.

There is a difference between real natural and organic foods. Organic growers don’t use pesticides and herbicides. Natural growers use this stuff. Studies show that herbicide and pesticide residuals often remain on natural food in the stores. These things have been found in peoples bodies. For example, the Bt toxin of GMO foods has been found in the uterus of women. It’s difficult, and in some cases, impossible to purge pesticides from your bodies. When a bug bites into a plant loaded with the Bt toxin, the toxin pushes the guts of the bug outward until it explodes.

GMO firms are being sued in Germany because they’ve killed tons of cows fed GMO feed. GMOs are banned in numerous nations throughout the world. They’ve been linked to all kinds of illnesses in rats and humans, such as a massive increase in food allergies among the American people ever since GMOs were allowed by the government to poison the American people.

So here’s to Costco for moving in the right direction. Also, check out the following link for the story on how GMOs are killing the cows in Germany that produce the milk Germans drink. Killing the Cows Whose Milk We Drink–Johnhively.wordpress.com
