On Monday, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Northern California and the National Lawyers Guild filed a 17-page complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California seeking compensatory damages and the issuance of a temporary restraining order that would compel the Oakland Police Department (OPD) and 17 outside law-enforcement agencies from trampling upon the constitutional rights of both bystanders and participants in Occupy Oakland.

Video of Unprovoked Oakland Police Brutally Attacking and Beating a ProtesterProtester and three-tour American veteran Kayvan Sabehgi was beaten by Oakland police during the Occupy protest’s general strike on 2 November. Sabehgi, who was ‘completely peaceful’, according to witnesses, was left with a lacerated spleen.

Eighteen mayors and a the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) met and planned the crackdown on the Occupy Movement. So who brought about this meeting? Why was DHS involved?

It wasn’t likely the Koch Brothers. They may have political puppets like Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, but I doubt they can order the DHS to crackdown on the Occupy Movement. Nether can any single member of congress.

There is only one possible source as the architect of the crackdown. The buck stops there in the White House, well it used to when Harry Truman was president. President Obama, most likely at the behest of his Wall Street cronies, ordered DHS to organize the crackdown. Nobody else could do that without going over Obama’s head.

The people are on their own. They can expect no help from the president of the United States. That’s why this country is beginning to look more like a police state every day.
